摘要: Rat peritoneal exudate cells produce two interleukin 6 (IL6) messenger RNA species, a major 1200 nucleotide and 5-fold less abundant, 2400-nucleotide species. A cDNA clone representing the species was isolated, sequenced. The 1055-base pair insert covered 3'-nontranslated region, 211 triplet coding region most of 5'-nontranslated region. derived rat IL6 amino acid sequence 93 58% identical, respectively, with mature murine human IL6. lacks N-glycosylation sites but contains fifth cysteinyl residue in addition to 4 residues shared conserved positions Stable L cell HeLa-derived lines were established by cotransfection selectable neomycin resistance marker.
