摘要: The huge conservation interest that mammals attract and the large datasets have been collected on them propelled a diversity of global mammal prioritization schemes, but no comprehensive strategy. We highlight some potential discrepancies between schemes presented in this theme issue, including: species or areas, reactive proactive approaches, knowledge action, levels aggregation indicators trend scale issues. propose recently data many now available could be incorporated into strategy for mammals. task developing such should coordinated by super-partes, authoritative institution (e.g. International Union Conservation Nature, IUCN). would facilitate funding agencies, organizations national institutions to rapidly identify number short-term long-term priorities, act complementarily achieve them.
