摘要: This study investigates mechanisms of question intonation in Mandarin Chinese. Three have been proposed: an overall higher phrase curve, strengths sentence final tones, and a tone-dependent mechanism that flattens the falling slope tone steepens rising tone. The curve strength were revealed by computational modeling verified acoustic analyses as well perception experiments. was suggested result from perceptual study: is easier to identify if sentence-final whereas it harder rising, on Tone2 Tone4.
