摘要: The problem of unequal catchability among individuals in an open population is discussed regard to estimates size. Properties the Jolly–Seber (J–S) estimate are clarified and comparisons made with minimum number alive (MNA) techniques which attempt complete enumeration population. MNA shown be seriously biased under assumption equal have a proportionately much larger negative bias than J–S catchability. Suggestions for future work.
