Stability over time of character assessment using a psychodynamic instrument and personality inventories.

摘要: In a group of patients with preoperative diagnosis ulcerative colitis, the stability character traits and modes mental functioning were studied after major life event, abdominal surgery, using Karolinska Psychodynamic Profile (KAPP), an interview-based assessment instrument founded upon psychoanalytic theory. addition, different personality temperamental variables assessed 2 self-report instruments. The before follow-up was made at least 1 year their final scheduled surgery. Although had undergone surgery convalescence between assessments, correlations scores very high, levels similar. This true for all instruments, indicating that they stable characteristics in patients. changes did occur mainly predicted direction. results this study suggest KAPP can assess are relatively only slowly variable.
