摘要: Abstract Genomic DNA of the human polyomavirus JC was molecularly cloned from extracted primary fetal glial cells infected with prototype (MAD-1) virus and diseased brain tissue which originally isolated. This report documents that these recombinant MAD-1 DNAs are identical, prototypical, may serve as unambiguous references to distinguish variant produced by independent isolates virus. Possible ambiguity in other recombinants is discussed. A new restriction endonuclease cleavage map derived for 52 sites cleaved eight enzymes.
