摘要: Both an excess and imbalance of amino acids have been associated with total parenteral nutrition-induced cholestasis. The present study was undertaken to further our understanding this condition in light observations that methyl donor may be protective. Rats were maintained on Travasol (3.4 g acids/24 h) dextrose (10.2 g/24 without the "active methyl" S-adenosylmethionine at a dose 75 mg/kg/24 h for 5 days, compared control rats alone free access rat chow. Bile flow (microliters/min) lower (p < 0.025) (8.65 +/- 0.78) than group (12.30 0.52) restored Travasol+S-adenosylmethionine animals (11.42 10). Furthermore, bile acid secretory rate (mumol/h) higher 0.05) (23.34 3.71) (14.16 2.19). As expected, molar ratio biliary cholesterol 0.005) both nutrition groups. However, S-adenosylmethionine, there also decrease phospholipids which correlated well rate. Analysis liver plasma membranes showed activity Na+K(+)-ATPase (mumol Pi/mg protein/h) (6.26 0.53) values (15.20 1.43) by addition (17.07 2.87). In three groups, close correlation observed between flow.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
