Synthesis of a novel dithiooxamide―formaldehyde resin and its application to the adsorption and separation of silver ions

摘要: Abstract In this study, a new chelating resin of dithiooxamide (rubeanic acid)–formaldehyde (DTOF) has been synthesized by the reaction and formaldehyde. Also well-known thiourea (thiooxamide)–formaldehyde (TUF) prepared DTOF TUF resins were used in adsorption, separation concentration silver ions batch column techniques. These characterized using FTIR elemental analysis. It was found that adsorption capacity 3333.3 mg g −1 or 30.86 mmolg g 1428.6 mg g 13.22 mmol g . showed more affinity to according Cu(II), Zn(II), Ni(II) Co(II) base metal than resin. also demonstrated can be ions.
