摘要: Glucose tolerance was abnormal in many male KK mice studied although fasting blood sugars were generally normal. Glucosuria of intermittent and nonfasting sugar elevated some. Plasma insulin nonfasted 10–100 times that nondiabetic pancreatic 50% higher than control mice. The diaphragm fat pads insensitive to insulinin vitro. baseline glucose uptake by muscles normal, whereas oxidation adipose tissue significantly lower from Limited diet lowers plasma body weight restores the sensitivity insulin. It is postulated diabetes mouse due decreased muscle endogenous increased food intake which results an demand for pancreas responds this secretion insulin, as condition continues, islet hypertrophy results. Continued inbreeding produced animals with fewer abnormalities. Fourth seventh generation derived offspring KK×C57 BL/6J exhibited relatively large numbers animals.
