摘要: Hypertension is a predominant risk factor for cardiovascular diseases and major health care burden. Accumulating epidemiological experimental evidence suggest that adult-onset hypertension may have its origins during early development. Upon exposure to glucocorticoids, the fetus develops hypertension, offspring be programmed continue hypertensive trajectory into adulthood. Elevated oxidative stress deranged nitric oxide system are not only hallmarks of adult but also observed earlier in life. Endothelial dysfunction remodeling vasculature, which robustly associated with increased incidence likely been pre-programmed fetal Apparently, genomic, non-genomic, epigenomic factors play significant role development including glucocorticoid-driven effects on blood pressure. In this review, we discuss involvement aforementioned participants pathophysiology therapeutic opportunities targeting epigenome modifiers, potentially personalized medicine.
