摘要: We conducted a prospective study to measure dengue virus (DENV) antibody seroconversion in travelers dengue-endemic areas. Travelers seen the Boston Area Travel Medicine Network planning visit countries for ≥ 2 weeks were enrolled from 2009 2010. Pre- and post-travel blood samples questionnaires collected. Post-travel sera tested anti-DENV IgG by indirect enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) IgM capture ELISA. Participants with positive or pre-travel IgM; they excluded calculation if either positive. Paired collected 62% (589/955) of travelers. Most participants 19-64 years age, female, white. The most common purposes travel tourism visiting friends relatives; trips Asia Africa. Median length was 21 days. DENV ELISA 2.9-6.8%; lower range percent potential false-positive due receipt yellow fever Japanese encephalitis vaccines at enrollment; upper proven IgM.
