摘要: Nature often serves as a model system for developing new adhesives. In aqueous environments, mussel-inspired adhesives are promising candidates. Understanding the mechanism of extraordinarily strong adhesive bonds catechol group will likely aid in development With this aim, we study adhesion catechol-based to metal oxides on molecular level using atomic force microscopy (AFM). The comparison single catechols (dopamine) with multiple hyperbranched polyglycerols (hPG) at various pH and dwell times allowed us further increase our understanding. particular, were able elucidate how achieve different valency. It was concluded that added end groups candidates durable surface coatings.
