摘要: Colorectal cancer is the second most common in western world. At least 40% of colorectal patients develop metastases; chemotherapy alone or combination with radiotherapy usually used as adjuvant treatment for advanced disease. Unfortunately treatments are often ineffective due to development resistance. A major contributor chemo-resistance inhibition avoidance apoptosis. This chapter reviews genetic mutations tumorigenesis; alterations apoptosis progression; and relationship between apoptotic changes. The factors which affect regulate evaluated. dysfunction different pathways through cells resistance chemotherapies discussed. Finally potential molecular targets therapeutic strategies designed against these proposed.
