摘要: The transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) type II receptor (RII) is a colon cancer suppressor gene that inactivated by mutation in 90% of human cancers arising via the microsatellite instability (MSI) pathway carcinogenesis. To determine pathophysiological consequence RII mutations, we have determined timing their onset among 22 MSI adenomas varying stages. No mutations were detected any early adenoma, including all those with simple tubular or villous histology. earliest was region high-grade dysplasia but absent from surrounding adenoma. Six additional found highly progressed contained regions frankly invasive adenocarcinoma. These both advanced and adjacent carcinoma. late event correlates tightly progression these to cancer.
