摘要: Abstract In this study, the uptake and elimination of ZnO CuO nanoparticles in Daphnia magna was tested. Daphnids were exposed during 10 days to sublethal concentrations corresponding metal salts (ZnCl2 CuCl2.2H2O), after which they transferred unexposed medium for another days. At different times exposure none-exposure, total internal zinc or copper concentration daphnids determined localized organism using electron microscopy. The characterized by measuring dissolved, nanoparticle aggregated fraction medium. results showed that quickly dissolved addition Contrarily, only a small (corresponding salt) while most these formed large aggregates. Despite an initial increase first 48 h 5 day exposure, body reached plateau level comparable ZnCl2, but much higher (with visible aggregates accumulating gut) than CuCl2.2H2O. During remaining subsequent none-exposure phase, decreased fast with daphnids. indicate D. can regulate its nanoparticles, similar as salts. combined dissolution, accumulation toxicity confirm is caused fraction.
