摘要: Abstract Objective In prostate specimens, chronic inflammatory infiltrate (CII) type IV has been detected, but its association with cancer (PCa) is controversial. The aim of the present study to investigate on associations CII PCa detection in patients undergoing first biopsy set. Methods Ultrasound transrectal-guided biopsies by transperineal approach were retrospectively evaluated 441 consecutive patients. excluded who active surveillance, specific antigen (PSA) ≥30 ng/mL, re-biopsies, incidental after transurethral resection (TURP), less than 14 cores or metastatic. Analysis population and subpopulations (with without PCa) was performed statistical methods which included Mann–Whitney ( U test), Kruskal–Wallis test, Chi-squared statistic, logistic regression. Multivariate regression models predicting mean probability established. Results rate 46.03%. Age, PSA, volume (PV), intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN) significant independent predictors detection. PV (OR = 0.934) (OR = 0.192) both negative predictors. a predictor multivariate age, PSA PV. inverse does not necessary protection because confounding. Conclusion set, strong should be considered as an adjunctive parameter re-biopsy surveillance protocols.
