摘要: To evaluate the safety and efficacy of prolonged ingestion Lactobacillus acidophilus L-92 (L-92) on skin symptoms in adult atopic dermatitis (AD) patients, a placebo-controlled double-blinded parallel-group comparison study was performed. This included daily administration heat-killed dried or placebo for 24wk 50 AD patients who were 16yr old older. The severity evaluated at baseline 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, during intervention using investigator global assessment, eczema area index, scoring dermatitis. Serum cytokine blood marker levels also measured intervention. No adverse events reported period. Compared with group, group showed significant decreases Subjective reduced by intake L-92. Furthermore, it suggested that sustained resulted suppression scratching behavior maintenance remission status symptoms. Sixteen weeks after commenced, decrease lactate dehydrogenase increase transforming growth factor-β observed compared group. In elevation IL-12 (p70) level end treatment period before observed. suppresses type-2-helper-T-cell-dominant inflammation activating regulatory T cells type 1 helper cells.
