摘要: Perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) releases several important vasoactive factors with physiological and pathophysiological paracrine effects. A large body of evidence suggests regional phenotypic functional differences among PVAT depots, depending on the specific vascular bed or different regions in where is located. These non-uniform separate PVATs exert various effects structure function that largely impact disease states, such as endothelial dysfunction, atherosclerosis, insulin resistance. This emerging view requires considering heterogeneous a specialized organ can differentially regulate its anatomical location. In this context, adipose-vascular axis may represent novel target for pharmacological intervention vasculopathy cardiometabolic disorders.
