摘要: Abstract Background The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects timing diagnostic ureteroscopy (URS) relative radical nephroureterectomy (RNU) on intravesical recurrence (IVR). Patients and Methods We retrospectively evaluated 104 patients who had undergone RNU for upper tract urothelial cancer (UTUC) at a single tertiary referral center between March 2003 December 2012. All were divided depending URS: no URS group (30 patients, URS), 1-session (33 immediately followed by RNU), 2-session (41 after median time 5 days). analyzed IVR-free survival using Kaplan–Meier Cox proportional regression methods. Results Of 34 (32.6%) developed subsequent IVR mean interval 7.2 months. curve showed that rate significantly greater in than other groups (P = .004). Univariate analysis indicated effect compared with (hazard ratio [HR], 95% confidence [CI] 1.58; 0.517-4.833). However, number (HR, 3.82; CI 1.438-10.131). Multivariate revealed an independent predictor UTUC 3.61; 1.039-12.557). Conclusion Delay increased risk patients.
