摘要: Optical reflection measurements are described as a new and simple technique to measure thicknesses thickness changes of ultrathin organic overlayers on inorganic support. The prime advantages high sensitivity in (0.1–1 A), applicability under varying environmental conditions, nondestructiveness, different supports time resolution. These features assessed theoretically experimentally studying Langmuir-Blodgett films SiO2 Au supports. films, this work prepared with the model compound arachidic acid, provide salient feature well-defined integer multiples 26.7 A. Application thermodesorption experiments reveals distinguished binding states energies (73–110 kJ/mol) depending counterion (Mg2+ or Cd2+) used preparing ratios thickness. energy for main component multilayers (73 81 larger than 100 A is comparable heat evaporation bulk fatty acids.
