摘要: The down-regulation and internalization of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptors induced by two separate anti-EGF monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), IgG1 mAb-225 -455, EGF was examined. competitively inhibits binding it is internalized to an extent comparable EGF. antibody down-regulates surface in a dose-dependent manner. In contrast, mAb-455 does not inhibit or mAb-225, but specifically immunoprecipitates receptor. also Unlike EGF, which elicits phosphorylation receptor at tyrosine, threonine, serine residues, neither these intact A431 cells KB cells. Our studies suggest that EGF-stimulated required for ligand-receptor complex.
