CGRP in peripherally axotomized mesencephalic trigeminal neurones of the rat.

摘要: Immunoreactivities for substance P (SP-ir) and calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP-ir) were examined in neurones the mesencephalic trigeminal tract nucleus of nerve-injured rats. One week following unilateral transection root, masseteric nerve (MN) or inferior alveolar (IAN), CGRP-ir but not SP-ir was detected these bilaterally with ipsilateral dominance. Most (immunoreactive) retrogradely labelled when fluorogold (FG) had been applied to proximal stump MN IAN. Sham surgery including insult masseter muscle induced while skin incision did not.
