摘要: Purpose:: To characterize the subtypes of α1- and α2-adrenoceptors in human corpus cavernosum from patients undergoing sex change surgery.Materials Methods:: Saturation competition radioligand binding studies were performed for characterization at protein level. α1-Adrenoceptors labeled with [3H]prazosin [3H]tamsulosin, while [3H]RX 821002. α1-Adrenoceptor subtype mRNA was additionally determined by reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction RNase protection assays.Results:: Human expressed ∼32 ∼22 fmol./mg. α2-adrenoceptors, respectively. Competition α1A-selective antagonists 5-methylurapidil (+)-niguldipine α1D-selective BMY 7378 revealed a mixed α1A/α1B-adrenoceptor population no evidence α1D-adrenoceptor protein.
