摘要: Abstract Little is currently known about the genetic relationships between cultivated olive and wild trees in Italy. This report first study that has developed molecular characterization of plants from leaf tissue, without DNA extraction step. The new protocol was able to amplify every microsatellite tested also five monovarietal virgin oil samples, revealing clear, accurate, reproducible easily interpretable allelic profiles. Our results show a variability among Sardinia Calabria trees, as well varieties sampled both areas. possibility provide market product with fingerprint undoubtedly an added value, especially when considering high level food counterfeits spread all-over world. These are line latest rules issued by European Union aimed protect niche products.
