摘要: Introduction: Clinical studies have shown that the incidence of early post-traumatic seizures is higher in children than adults. It has been proposed iron-induced lipid peroxidation plays an important role development epileptogenic foci. This study examined some hypothesised reasons for difference between and Methods: 12 young rats adult were randomised into four groups. Groups 1 2 control groups, comprising six rats, respectively, they administered intracortical injection saline. 3 4 injury FeCl3. All observed hours post-injection occurrence seizures, then killed. The injected hemispheres extirpated tested malondialdehyde (MDA) levels superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity as indices oxidative damage. Results: Seizures only Group 3.
