摘要: A rapid and simple method for the quantitative evaluation of thin-layer chromatograms hyoscyamine scopolamine by direct photodensitometry was investigated. Excellent separation with discrete spots two alkaloids quickly obtained using absolute methanol-ammonia T.S. (200:1 v/v) as developing solvent. Spots were made visible spraying Munier Macheboeuf's modification Dragendorff's reagent. Linear standard curves each alkaloid when integrated function size density spot correlated micrograms applied. The upper lower limits 4 to 65 meg. hyoscyamine, 7 60 scopolamine. optimal range both approximately 20 30 Pure plant extracts determined photodensitometric spectrophotometric methods, results compared.
