摘要: Based on the clinical observation that large tumors located in liver may be resected or enucleated with relative ease, present retrospective study aimed at detailed assessment of tumor/liver interface hepatic neoplasms. For this purpose, a systematic light microscopic and immunohistochemical resection specimens 10 giant hemangiomas, hepatocellular carcinomas, 9 metastases was performed. In four distinct patterns were identified: fibrous (pattern A), interdigitating B), compression C), irregular/spongy D). 5 these tumors, single type A) observed, whereas other five exhibited mixed type, although two them had predominance pattern A. Overall, 7 hemangiomas exclusively partially separated from substance by interface. Similarly, variable thickness containing remnants preexisting portal tracts observed 18 19 malignant epithelial zone complete, ie, totally covering tumor border facing surface. These findings indicate both benign malignant, can induce proportion cases. We suggest such an interface, grossly visible as capsulelike structure, plays significant role for resectability tumors.
