摘要: Importance Reticular veins are subdermal located in the lower limbs and mainly associated with aesthetic complaints. Although sclerotherapy is treatment of choice for reticular limbs, no consensus has been reached regarding to optimal sclerosant. Objective To compare efficacy safety 2 sclerosants used treat veins: 0.2% polidocanol diluted 70% hypertonic glucose (HG) (group 1) vs 75% HG alone 2). Design, Setting, Participants Prospective, randomized, triple-blind, controlled, parallel-group clinical trial patients randomly assigned a 1:1 ratio between groups from March through December 2014, months’ follow-up. The study was conducted single academic medical center. Eligible participants were all women, aged 18 69 years, who had at least 1 vein minimum length 10 cm their limbs. Interventions underwent intervention either plus or eliminate veins. Main Outcomes Measures primary end point disappearance within 60 days after sclerotherapy. measured on images obtained before using ImageJ software. Safety outcomes analyzed immediately 7 included serious adverse events (eg, deep thrombosis systemic complications) minor pigmentation, edema, telangiectatic matting, hematomas). Results Ninety-three women completed study, median (interquartile range) age 43.0 (24.0-61.0) years group 41.0 (27.0-62.0) 2. Sclerotherapy significantly more effective than eliminating treated area (95.17% 85.40%; P = .09). Conclusions Relevance superior sclerosing veins, statistical difference complications. Pigmentation occurred both groups, them. No group. Trial Registration clinicaltrials.gov Identifier:NCT02054325
