摘要: Twenty patients with carcinoma of the lung and a brain metastasis have undergone combined surgery, which was synchronous in five. There were no operative deaths. Survival from first surgical intervention less than one year (3-10 months) four (20%), to two years (20%) more (26-66 five (25%). Seven (35%) are alive well after an average period three months (15-66 months). Actuarial survival at is 33.6%. All had severe neurological symptoms 18 (90%) complete remission. Our experience data reported literature point effectiveness surgery prolonging symptom free cancer solitary metastasis.
