摘要: Differences between human prostate carcinoma (PCA, five cases) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH, in asparagine-linked (Asn) sugar-chain structure of acid phosphatase (PAP) were investigated using lectin affinity chromatography with concanavalin A (Con A) wheat germ agglutinin (WGA). PAP activities significantly decreased PCA-derived PAP, while no significant differences the two preparations observed enzymatic properties (Michaelis-Menten value, optimal pH, thermal stability, inhibition study). In these preparations, all found only fractions which bound strongly to Con column undetectable unbound weakly column. The relative amounts but passed through WGA column, greater BPH-derived than PAP. contrast, findings suggest that Asn-linked structures are altered during oncogenesis also studies qualitative might lead a useful diagnostic tool for PCA.
