摘要: Abstract Background Vascular calcification is a marker of atherosclerotic burden and associated with increased risk cardiac events. The aim this study was to investigate the relationship between clinical factors aortic root (ARC) in patients coronary calcium score (CCS) > 0, as assessed by multidetector computed tomography (MDCT). Methods Between January December 2013, 196 consecutive Iraqi who underwent MDCT for assessment disease were recruited. Of these, 69 CCS > 0 enrolled study. For analytical purposes, divided into two groups ARC score: ARC > 0 (ARC group, n = 32) those ARC = 0 (non-ARC n = 37). Results overall prevalence 46%. Mean 174 ± 28.5 (range, 10–500). A significant correlation observed male sex ( r = 0.380, P = 0.032) age ≥65 years = 0.353, = 0.047). These correlations persisted even after multivariate adjustment other factors. There no factors, only between-group difference distribution patient age. Conclusion significantly correlated older CCS > 0.
