摘要: Studies have shown anti-hyperlipidemic actions of melatonin, with pharmacological doses inducing changes in cholesterol levels. This study was designed to evaluate the effect melatonin on adriamycin-induced (25mg/kg b.w., i.p.) hyperlipidemia under constant light exposure. Melatonin injected i.p. (1000 μg/kg b.w./day). Triglycerides, total cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein light-density non-proteic nitrogen compounds (urea and creatinine levels), protein serum, proteins eliminated urine levels serum kidney were determined. Results show a decrease induced by both adriamycin light. Likewise, significant increases triglycerides, lowered Constant exposure also prompted an increase LDL-c HDL-c values, intensified effects these two lipoproteins. All reverted toward normality administration.
