摘要: Metabolic enzymes are emerging as key mediators in modifying cell metabolism response to extracellular signals, such growth factors which trigger the upregulation of a specific isoform pyruvate kinase (PK) M2. PKM2 alters its own catalytic activity by many different ways, and one these involves switch degree oligomerization, shifting resting pro-proliferative one. A shift enzymatic from high low is generally considered for division; however, change guided under delicate equilibrium, if lost leads uncontrolled metabolism, reason associated with cancer Warburg effect. Thus, curiosity aroused understand regulating expression how affected metabolites proteins. In this chapter, we discuss levels PK possible therapeutic approaches, where proposed potential target cancer.
