摘要: Abstract Purpose In this case report, we describe 7 patients with suboptimal dosimetry after 125 I prostate brachytherapy who underwent a second implant procedure to improve the dosimetric coverage of prostate. Methods and materials Seven implants for their initial cancer. The pretreatment characteristics (clinical stage, Gleason score, prostate-specific antigen level, location positive cores, International Prostate Symptom Score, potency, use androgen suppression, planning characteristics) were noted. "Day 30" CT-based parameters first 0" reimplant recorded (volumes rectum covered by 100% 150% dose covering 90% volume). toxicity procedure, Scores before reimplantation, clinical course, outcomes examined. We described our intraoperative procedure. Results all patients, able achieve very favorable acute was reasonably low, short-term outcome has been favorable. Conclusion It is possible add more seeds safely dosimetrically cool area excellent postimplant acceptable toxicity. ultimate benefits long-term reimplantation are unknown.
