Suicidal hanging in Cardiff--a 15-year retrospective study

摘要: A retrospective study of 84 cases suicidal hanging was undertaken in which petechial haemorrhages or congestion were seen 27%, soft tissue haemorrhage 29% and fracture the hyoid laryngeal cartilages 36%. Fractures found to be related increasing age not when a ligature had been employed. Petechial completeness suspension. Apart from lack fractures group any these findings, either singly combination, occur without regard age, suspension type type. No evidence clustering seasonality. The findings are compared other series discussed with mechanisms causation.
