摘要: Detection of filamentous bacteria morphotypes involved in scum formation activated sludge wastewater treatment plants by conventional microscopy is often doomed to fail because morphological and taxonomical variations. The aim this study compare detection, identification, quantification quality "scum bacteria" found fluorescence situ hybridization (FISH). In the case Microthrix parvicella Eikelboom 1863 1851, FISH results correspond well. contrast, overlooks nocardioform actinomycete type single cells. On other hand, underestimates actinomycetes 0041/0675 or 0092 insufficient cell wall permeability their taxonomic variability, with a resulting inadequacy previously published probes. Nostocoida limicola morphotype are still inconclusive low numbers being available enormous variability within group.
