摘要: The degradation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) by an undefined culture obtained from a PAH-polluted soil and the same bioaugmented with three PAH-degrading strains was studied in carbon-limited chemostat cultures. PAHs were degraded efficiently bioaugmentation did not significantly improve PAH degrading performance. presence did, however, influence bacterial composition non-bioaugmented cultures, resulting increase cell concentration sphingomonad strains. initial enhancement biostimulation gradually disappeared only salicylate additional carbon sources had lasting slightly stimulating effect on phenanthrene. results suggest that have limited potential to enhance bioremediation already proficient such contaminants.
