摘要: Abstract Unfamiliar male meadow voles induce pregnancy disruptions when they are in physical contact with females, but the presence of female's original mate partially protects her from blocking effects an unfamiliar male. This research examines how behavioral interactions affect by testing two hypotheses: a) males protect females reducing aggressive between and strange males; b) administration clonidine, α 2 -adrenergic receptor agonist that decreases activity, aggression, sexual motivation, will decrease pregnancy-blocking ability males. Strange were more sire was absent, indicating this change behavior may be related to their greater success disrupting pregnancy. When injected less likely block pregnancy, showed mating than received saline injections. These results indicate important for male-induced voles.
