摘要: Since glioblastomas in adults are uniformly fatal, evaluation of easily reproducible prognostic criteria which would attempt to define groups patients is required. However, there lack a clear consensus regarding the expression some markers literature. Therefore, an immunohistochemical study was performed determine significance Ki67, p53, and epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) retrospective series 63 glioblastomas. Image analysis carried out positive specimens quantify immunoprecipitates. p53 EGFR were specifically addressed 36 primary reported this series. In all cases, clinical data (age, Karnofsky performance scale index [KPS] before surgery, extent surgery) features analysed using univariate multivariate ascertain whether any significant correlation exists between [1] [2], accumulation [3], Ki67 labelling prognosis (survival time disease-free survival time, DFST). The results showed that glioblastomas, none these had value. Among parameters, high KPS surgery found be indicative shorter DFST (P < 0.05), whereas younger age at onset total or subtotal surgical excision associated with longer 0.001 0.05, respectively). protein inversely correlated = 0.01). percentage expressing much lower our (33%) than literature suggesting molecular distinction secondary not so clear-cut.
