摘要: PURPOSE To compare the longitudinal loss of RNFL thickness measurements by SD-OCT in healthy individuals and glaucoma patients with or without progression concerning optic disc morphology. METHODS A total 62 eyes, comprising 38 glaucomatous eyes open angle 24 controls, were included study (Erlangen Glaucoma Registry, NTC00494923). All investigated annually over a period 3 years Spectralis measuring peripapillary thickness. By masked comparative analysis photographs, classified into nonprogressive progressive cases. Longitudinal was compared morphological changes RESULTS Mixed model annual OCT scans revealed an estimated decrease 2.12 μm progression, whereas morphology lost 1.18 per year (P = 0.002). The rate change 0.60 thereby also significantly lower than < 0.001). intrasession variability three successive head repositioning 1.5 ± 0.7 μm. mean exceeded 60% 85% after years. CONCLUSIONS LONGITUDINAL MEASUREMENTS OF THICKNESS USING SHOW MORE PRONOUNCED REDUCTION IN PATIENTS WITH PROGRESSION COMPARED WITHOUT GLAUCOMATOUS OPTIC DISC CHANGES.
