摘要: Abstract. Landslides and floods, particularly flash occurred recently in many Mediterranean catchments as a consequence of heavy rainfall events, causing damage sometimes casualties. The high hazard is often associated with high vulnerability deriving from intense urbanization, particular along the coastline where streams are habitually culverted. necessary risk mitigation strategies should be applied at the catchment scale with holistic approach, avoiding spot interventions. In present work, high-risk area, hit past by several floods and concurrent superficial landslides due to extremely localized intense rain has been studied. A total 21 small have identified: only some them damaging but all lie intense-rain high-hazard area strongly urbanized the lower coastal zone. question what would happen if an rain event strike one not previously catchments; situations could worse or not, so attention focused on comparison among catchments. aim research identifying priority scale among catchments, pointing out more critical ones giving a quantitative comparison tool for decision makers support strong scheduling long-time planning interventions scale. past events' effects geomorphic process analysis together field survey allowed us select three sets parameters: describing the morphometric–morphological features related flood landslide hazard, another degree urbanization anthropogenic modifications last elements that are exposed risk. realized geodatabase apply spatial multicriteria technique (S-MCA) descriptive parameters and to obtain priority analyzed can be used plan risk mitigation starting critical catchments, then focusing economic resources primarily obtaining an effective prevention strategy. methodology could useful even to check how modified during progress the mitigation work realization. addition, this approach similar context, among sub-catchments, after suitable set parameters depending active geomorphological processes kind of anthropogenic modification. prioritization allow invest economic priory more critical
