摘要: Early growth response-1 (Egr-1) is implicated in the regulation of cell growth, proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis. Egr-1 considered tobe either a tumor-suppressor or tumor-promoter, depending on type environment. The aim present study was to evaluate expression colorectal cancer its correlation with tumor apoptosis clinicopathological features. tissues investigated by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), western blotting immunohistochemistry. Apoptosis detected terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase (TdT)-mediated deoxyuridine triphosphate (dUTP) nick end labeling (TUNEL), cellular proliferative activity evaluated immunohistochemical staining Ki-67 antibody. significantly elevated tissues, when compared that paired normal mucosa at mRNA protein levels. In addition, increased metastatic lymph node non‑metastatic level. mean index (KI) apoptotic (AI) values for 158 tumors were 53.6±15.4 9.0±1.0, respectively. Higher KI associated distant metastasis. Lower AI However, not patient survival. value Egr-1-positive higher than Egr-1-negative tumors. there no significant difference between value. Positive age, lymphovascular invasion, metastasis, stage poor These results indicate may be progression via proliferation.
