Using a blended approach to teach English for academic purposes: Malaysian students' perceptions of redesigned course materials

摘要: English for Social Sciences is a compulsory course all students of the Faculty at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. Recently, has been redesigned and new book which includes an online component was introduced. The purpose study reported in this article to investigate students' perceptions blended approach learning Academic Purposes. A qualitative approach, form nine focus group interviews involving 34 from various disciplines, used collect data. thrust its meeting their language needs, different proficiency levels diverse interests. challenges problems faced by them were also probed. findings reveal that needs generally positive although some higher did not find content challenging enough. well received but two major identified: slow unreliable internet connection too much exercises complete. Possible solutions these proposed.
