摘要: The apolipoprotein E genotype and cortical senile plaque (SP) hippocampal neurofibrillary tangle (NFT) densities were determined in non-demented individuals neuropathologically confirmed AD patients. population was further subdivided according to presence or absence of pathologically established critical coronary artery disease (cCAD), hypertension (HyperT), neither (non-heart disease; non-HD). E4 (APOE4) allele incidence dose frequencies increased the AD, cCAD HyperT groups compared non-HD controls. mean number SP NFT significantly with APOE4 within entire population. After grouping subjects cardiac status, but not density among those genotype. In HyperT, also correlated frequency. all regions brain other groups, no significant difference found between patients without an allele. These two age-matched, could be matched for duration. data suggest a relationship heart disease, regardless cognitive status.
