摘要: Abstract In many Asian developing countries, policy makers face tension between the needs of economic growth, human development and environmental sustainability. a similar vein, new global agreement on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) calls for harmonization goals. To shed light relationship economy natural resources, our research investigates case Philippines, employing material flow accounting approach based national statistical sources. We analyze domestic extraction, trade materials from 1980 to 2014. also explore differences territorial (production) footprint (consumption) accounts. find that Philippine managed grow while reducing intensity because an increasing share services sector activities. From net resource dependence in 1980s, Philippines become provider 2014 increased extraction exports metal ores. Overall, requirements grew over past two decades at lower rate than GDP, signifying relative decoupling. The data indicators we present are aimed inform agenda. They may help formulate policies integrate priorities guide towards achieving SDGs.
