摘要: It is well known that the structural performance of thin-walled compression members subject to effects local buckling and material yielding. Due these effects, compressive carrying capability short strut can be significantly reduced. This paper employs finite element simulation examine post-buckled response box-sections covers complete loading history struts from onset elastic through nonlinear elasto-plastic post-buckling phases behaviour up final collapse unloading. A detailed account growth redistribution stresses on surfaces given in paper. The results simulations are shown compare with analytical method analysis.
