摘要: The continuous technological advance and increasing availability of new base metal alloys ceramic systems in the market, coupled to demands daily clinical practice, have made constant evaluation bond strength metal/porcelain combinations necessary. This study evaluated shear three (Duceram, Williams Noritake) combination with nickel-chromium (Ni-Cr) (Durabond, Verabond Viron). Thirty cast cylinder specimens (15 mm high; 6 diameter) were obtained for each alloy, a way that 10 alloy tested porcelain. Bond was measured an Emic screw-driven mechanical testing machine by applying parallel forces until fracture. Shear calculated using ratio force applied demarcated area opaque layer. Mann-Whitney U test used statistical analysis alloy/ceramic (p 0.05) observed among other combinations. In conclusion, Noritake system together Viron presented highest resistance forces, while Duceram bonded lowest strength. Viron/Duceram Verabond/Noritake provided intermediate results. between Ni-Cr had similar strengths other.
