摘要: Brain tumors represent the most common solid in childhood, accounting for almost 25% of all childhood cancer, second only to leukemia. Pediatric central nervous system encompass a wide variety diagnoses, from benign malignant. Any brain tumor can be associated with significant morbidity, even when low grade, and mortality pediatric is disproportionately high compared other malignancies. Management children requires knowledge unique aspects care this particular patient population, beyond general oncology care. patients have needs during treatment, as cancer survivors, at end life.
