摘要: Introduction Outcome assessment is a central issue in work disability prevention research. The goal of this paper was to (1) ascertain the most salient workplace outcomes; (2) evaluate congruence between business and science perspectives; (3) illustrate new perspectives on assessing longitudinal (4) provide recommendations for advancing outcome evaluation area Methods authors participated year-long collaboration that culminated sponsored 3-day conference, “Improving Research Employer Practices Prevent Disability”, held October 14–16, 2015, Hopkinton, MA, USA. included topical review literature, group conference calls identify key areas challenges, drafting initial documents, industry publications, presentation feedback from peer researchers question/answer session with special panel knowledge experts direct employer experience. Results Numerous work-disability measures were identified. Analysis indicated their applicability varied depending type worker experiencing. For those who working, but health-related limitations (Type 1), predominant outcomes productivity, presenteeism, work-related limitations. off due health condition 2), time work, supervisor/employee interactions, return-to-work (RTW) preparation. had returned 3), until RTW, percentage resumption, employment characteristics, stigma, engagement, co-worker sustained or durable RTW. withdrawn labor force 4), cost vocational status. Discussion Currently available good basis use more consistent future. research would also benefit involvement employers as stakeholders, multilevel conceptualizations outcomes.
