摘要: The demand for nickel and cobalt as important commodities has increased significantly over the past decade a decline in global sulphide reserves resulted shift toward exploitation of less favourable laterite ores. These deposits, which are found associated with cobalt, located predominantly tropical regions world where there is limited understanding toxicities their extracted products wastes. This study investigated effects nickel, combinations on fertilization success common widespread scleractinian coral Platygyra daedalea. We also present first assessment effect copper this species. EC50 value was 33 μg L(-1) (95% confidence limits: 30-37 L(-1)) consistent published values other Our results provide coral, an estimated 1420 1160-1780 L(-1)).
